Vaccination Credential Initiative (VCI). A tech and healthcare coalition that includes members like Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce and U.S. nonprofit Mayo Clinic are working together to create a COVID-19 vaccination passport. VCI's vision is to empower individuals to obtain an encrypted digital copy of their immunization credentials to store in a digital wallet of their choice. The Greek government is proposing that the EU introduce a vaccination certificate, for “facilitating the freedom of movement of persons who have been vaccinated against COVID-19,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a letter. Privacy experts warn of risks. The introduction of vaccine passports "poses essential questions for the protection of data privacy and human rights," said Anna Beduschi, an academic from Exeter University. Passports could "create a new distinction between individuals based on their health status, which can then be used to determine the degree of freedoms and rights they may enjoy." POLITICO

Denmark creates its own passport. Danish Ministry of Health is to launch the ‘Covid-19 vaccine passport’ early this year. Vaccinated people in the country will be able to download the documentation via the sundhed.dk website, by logging in with the secure digital NemID. Vaccinated Poles to receive special passport. People who get vaccinated against COVID-19 in Poland will receive a confirmation document, in the form of a QR code, which can be downloaded from one’s personal e-government or public health system account. EurActiv
