UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein has called the election promises of right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders "grotesque." He compared Wilders' ideas to keep muslim immigrants out of the Netherlands with the "scare tactics" of the terrorist organization the Islamic State. According to the prince, populists are juggling with a mixture of whole and half-truths. He called Wilders and other populists "political fantasists" and a "banalization of bigotry." Polls suggest that Wilders's Party for Freedom is currently the biggest political party in the Netherlands.
