British PM Theresa May yesterday laid out her government's proposal for the rights of over 3 million EU citizens following Brexit, saying none of them residing legally in the UK would be forced to leave and no families would be separated. She said that any EU citizen living in the UK with five years' residence will be granted UK "settled" status. But EU 27 leaders appeared unimpressed: After May finished her speech, not a single EU leader commented or asked a question, according to a source, and the the3million, a group representing EU citizens living in the UK, called May’s offer "pathetic."
