A complaint was filed last December by Italian NGOs Association 21 Luglio and Naga against the director and a journalist of the newspaper Libero because of an article that contained strong and harsh xenophobic statements, intended to criminalize Roma people. The disciplinary board of the Italian Order of Journalists fully agreed with the complaint and recognized the responsibility of both men, punishing them with censorship — a sanction reserved for authors who are guilty of abuse and misconduct.
