The Bulgarian Ministry of Justice has proposed a package of measures in response to the European Court of Human Rights pilot judgment in the case of Neshkov and others v. Bulgaria. Besides being able to sue the state for torture and cruel treatment, the prisoners will also be able to ask the court to order the suspension of acts and omissions that violate the prohibition of torture and inhuman treatment.
