Andrea has become known for his provocative style, though he has never gone beyond expressing his views.
After the Procession of Dignity of 2014, Andrea was searched at his workplace by prominent figures of the extreme right and his Facebook page was inundated by hundreds of hateful and threatening atrocious comments. Following this, he went into hiding for many weeks.
Broken nose, hateful comments
In 2015, Andrea was punched on the street and had his nose broken. Although this crime was not directed against him as a gay rights activist, the next day Mihály Zoltán Orosz, the infamous mayor of Érpatak and a member of the extreme right Jobbik party, was quick enough to applaud the perpetrator of the crime with a hateful comment against Andrea, saying he had finally gotten what he deserved.
The person who broke Andrea's nose was sentenced by a first instance court; the police, however, did not prosecute the threatening commenters because they failed to identify the extremists, even though their names and faces were on Facebook.
