In the fight against the radicalization of Muslims, there will be a European workgroup against preachers of hate and violence on the initiative of the Dutch minister of security and justice. Under the direction of the Netherlands, the group will think of plans to ban such preachers. The Netherlands is working on its own measures to look more closely at the possible consequences such preachers have for the public order and safety when assessing their visa applications. The workgroup should map which additional measures are feasible at a European level and will come up with proposals in October.
