We Are Looking for Everyday Human Rights Heroes!

Nominations now open for the third edition of the CILD Awards - tell us your human rights hero and why they deserve to be recognized this December in Rome.

Every year the Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights (CILD) rewards ordinary people and organisations whose extraordinary work follows the slogan 'the liberties of others are also your rights!'.

The aim of the CILD Award is acknowledging and encouraging the commitment and dedication of those who during the last year contributed to promote and protect civil rights in Italy.

The award categories of the third edition will be the following:

  • Young Activist Award
  • Civil Servant Award
  • Lawyer Award
  • Journalist Award
  • Athlete Award
  • Media Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

The jury will be made up of CILD’s board of directors and three external judges. The awards ceremony will take place in December in Rome.

The candidates can be nominated by anyone through this form or via twitter to @cild2014 with the hashtag #PremioCILD, accompanied by a brief justification for the nomination. It is necessary to choose a category for each candidate nominated for the award and the deadline to submit the nominations is November 12.
