Three men were convicted of terrorism and sentenced to prison terms ranging from 12 months (of which six months are suspended) up to 42 months (with 12 suspended) by the District Court of Rotterdam on February 18. The lowest sentence is for the man who financed terrorism. One of the other two was also sentenced for this. The court ruled that it was evident that two of the three had planned to travel to Syria to take part in the war there, or that they had made preparations for crimes with a terrorist purpose.
