A Város Mindenkié (The City is for All), a Hungarian volunteer group for homeless people, recently organized an event in Budapest to raise awareness of the alarming situation of the growing number of homeless families, including mothers whose young children are placed into care because of homelessness. The Hungarian Civil Liberties Union also used the occasion to raise awareness about a specific case of child institutionalization.
