The Clara Wichmann Institute and PILP submitted a complaint to the Dutch Advertisement Code Committee (RCC) on March 8 concerning the sexist images of the Toy Boys advertising campaign by Suitsupply. PILP prepared the human rights aspects of the complaint. PILP's interest is to have the RCC test whether an advert is sexist of negatively stereotyping, as is prescribed by the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). For now, the test still lacks in the Netherlands, hence the RCC only tests if an advert is harmful to good morals.
