Fabrice Leggeri, the head of the European Union's border agency Frontex, has come up with a quite remarkable suggestion. For the coming months he's expecting a further increase in the number of asylum seekers coming to the EU. In order to divide fortune-seekers from real refugees, Leggeri proposes to detain rejected asylum seekers temporarily. Migrants only coming here for economic gain should be returned quickly to their country of origin, according to the Frontex chief. "If necessary, these people should be locked up first," says Leggeri.
