The mafia had control of one of Italy's largest migrant centers for more than a decade, police have said. The Arena clan made money by providing services at the center in Isola di Capo Rizzuto, in southern Italy, and siphoning off state funds. The clan was able to hide their activities with the help of a local Catholic charity, which officially runs the center. On Monday, officers arrested 68 people, including a local priest and the head of the Catholic Misericordia association, which is supposed to control the Sant'Anna Cara immigrant center. The facitilty holds 1,500 people at a time.
