The conservative Italian Lombardy region has launched a new public helpline to report suspected cases of gender theory in schools. This comes after Italian Catholic groups complained that sex education in schools too often promotes non-heterosexual lifestyles by teaching so-called gender theory, and the concept of family is now under attack. The initiative has been highly criticized by many LGBTI organizations, mainly because of the fact that it creates huge problems and that the lack of education on differences will lead to homophobic bullying.
