Referring to data from the Ministry of Interior, the non-governmental organization Women's Room - Center for Sexual Rights stated that over the past 15 years, 165 women in Croatia were killed by their partners or husbands. This year, the aggression of the partner is the cause of the deaths of women in Croatia in 55 percent of cases. The work to change the laws on gun ownership and stricter regulations is necessary, as well as the far stricter control of gun ownership in all reports of domestic violence, says the NGO.
