Prime Minister Erna Solberg will lead Norway's first majority government in decades.

Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg on Thursday reached an agreement with the Christian Democratic Party to form a centre-right majority government. The Christian Democratic Party agreed to the deal only after Soldberg acquiesced to the party's demand to change the country's abortion law by ending so-called selective abortions, a woman's right to abort a fetus in a multifetal pregnancy, which can be done to limit the number of births. However, Solberg rejected the more controversial proposal of ending the right to late-term abortion in cases where a fetus is diagnosed with genetic disorders.
