"The 10th attempt to pass an ideological bill crying out 'ours first' has failed to pass the test of constitutionality," ASGI said in response to the recent decision in a case concerning access to public and social housing in Liguria, Italy. The center-right government pretended to modify the existing law by, among other things, setting a condition of 10 years' residency in Italy for non-EU citizens to qualify for such housing. The Constitutional Court ruled that this was unconstitutional and discriminatory, and the law breaches both the Italian Constitution and to European Union law.
