The Italian Senate has approved the proposal of a new law on drugs that distinguishes between soft and hard drugs when considering penal effects. The text will now be examined by the other branch of the Italian Parliament. The previous law, voided by the Constitutional Court, did not distinguish between hard and soft drugs.
