"Let's legalize" is the name of the popular initiative submitted to the Court of Appeal by various Italian NGOs. The draft bill will be presented to the Parliament in six months, after the required 50,000 signatures are collected. The aim is to bring about a reform of Italy's drug policies, making them as liberal as possible regarding cannabis by legalizing and regulating the consumption and growth marijuana for personal use. This proposal is a direct reaction to 30 years of failed policies —of prohibition, repression and criminalization.
