The new website FragDenBundestag (AskTheParliament) enables everyone to request access to analyses and expert opinions of the German Parliament, a right guaranteed by the country's Freedom of Information Act. The research services of the Parliament regularly prepare reports for MPs who require information on a specific legal or policy topic. Until now, these reports were only partly accessible to the public. FragDenBundestag is a project of the non-profit Open Knowledge Foundation and the website abgeordnetenwatch.de. They want the Parliament to publish the documents on its own initiative.
