At Tuesday's plenary meeting, the European Parliament discussed, among other topics, the case of Hungary. HCLU finds it especially important to ensure that every assessment of the state of democracy, civil liberties and the rule of law in Hungary, whether from the media, representative bodies or elsewhere, is based on sound and justifiable information. Therefore, HCLU provided the MEPs with a chronology of the government's attacks on civil society in preparation for the meeting.
