Belgrade's Pride Parade 2016 was held last Sunday under the slogan "Love changes the world" — and without any incident, but under strong police presence. For the first time, Belgrade Pride was held without the major tensions that have surrounded previous parades in the Serbian capital. In fact, some of the earlier parades were delayed because of security reasons or large riots and bloody clashes between opponents of the parade and the police.
