Fans of cannabis culture came to Vilnius on April 20 to celebrate Cannabis Culture Day 2017. Several hundred activists gathered in front of Parliament, urging politicians to review strict prohibitionist policies and to legalize the use of cannabis. According to the organizers of the event, a less strict approach to cannabis would help decrease crime, allow new methods of medical treatment, add more funds to the state’s budget and create a safer environment.
