The High Council of Health (Css) of the Italian Ministry of Health, referring to products containing or made up of hemp inflorescence sold around Italy in so-called ‘canapa shops,’ has said that's impossible to be sure that consumption of industrial hemp doesn't have life-threatening consequences. The Css said it's therefore against the commercialization and use of industrial hemp. While hemp products are currently sold in shops as collectors' objects, the Css recommends national rules to operationalize measures for stopping hemp commercialization, in the interest of individual health.
