For the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia on May 17, Italian LGBT association Arcigay has launched a campaign focusing on the issue of the absence of effective legislation against discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity in Italy. The Italian prime minister announced in 2015 that 2016 would be the year of civil unions and an adequate law against discrimination on basis of sexual orientation or identification. How long are Italians to wait for this adequate law to be implemented?
