Many poor families are deprived of their children due to their meager material conditions and the discriminative practice of child removal in Hungary. HCLU's new campaign seeks to raise Hungarian citizens' attention by touring the country, organizing professional events and using various public fora. A petition will end on September 20 to pressure decision makers not to allow any children to be separated from their family on account of poverty. As a result of HCLU's work, several children have been returned home. At the same time, the organization insists that this is a systemic problem.
