Parents of citizens who acquired Greek citizenship by naturalization filed complaints against the Social Insurance Institute, claiming that it denied granting them insurance capacity due to the fact that they were third-country nationals. The Greek ombudsman sent a letter to the institute asking it to consider those who meet the requirements of the Law on Social Insurance as protected members of their family and to provide them with full pension rights.
