In a case that has no precedent in Lithuania, youths that were sexually abused as minors brought proceedings against a juvenile correction center, claiming that they were molested by another young male resident in the past and asking for €15,000 in non-material damages. The plaintiffs, who have since come of age, argue that the management of the center failed to provide them with a safe environment, prevent the crime and protect them from harm.
