The government needs to work harder to fight discrimination, says MP Ahmed Marcouch (Labor Party). With the support of the Liberals, the Socialist Party and the Green Left, he has a majority. They claim the approach to discrimination is too fragmented and want the government to combine the different fields in which it combats unequal treatment in order to develop a comprehensive approach. They also want more education and awareness about discrimination, as well as more attention to unequal treatment in the labor market and the penalties and re-education of perpetrators of discrimination.
