Marcel de Graaff, MEP for the Dutch PVV, has been fined for vote rigging. De Graaff voted with French fellow group member Marine Le Pen's (National Front) voting card in her absence. In the European Parliament, voting for someone else is not allowed. The voting fraud was committed during October's plenary meeting in Strasbourg. De Graaff has admitted voting with Le Pen's card, calling it a "mistake" and a "courtesy" from his side. Le Pen has said she did not ask him to vote in her place.
