During a messy divorce, children should bring along their own attorney to the courtroom, the Christian Party CDA argues. CDA claims that fighting parents often forget their children's interests in a divorce. In 20 percent of 70,000 divorces between 2013 and 2014, parents had such blinding rows and conflicts that mutual consultation was impossible. "A messy divorce is a form of child abuse," according to Member of Parliament Mona Keijzer (CDA). Children are deeply wounded, both emotionally and physically. The CDA hopes for support in Parliament.
