Attorneys may, from March 1 onwards, be present during their clients' police interrogation. This follows from a ruling from the Dutch Supreme Court concerning a procedure started by the criminal justice advocacy. But the attorneys are dissatisfied with the new rules and started interim relief proceedings. If attorneys don't obey these rules, they may be removed from the interrogation room. According to attorneys, this is against European regulations and case law.
