The case against the right-wing populist politician Geert Wilders began on March 18. Wilders is accused of group defamation and inciting hatred and discrimination. The case was triggered by his words on the evening of the municipal elections in March 2014, when he asked a group of supporters if they wanted more or fewer Moroccans in the country. They responded by shouting, "Fewer, fewer!" Wilders then told his adherents he was going to fix it. Over 6,000 people reported it to the police, but Wilders invoked his freedom of expression.
