An alliance of right-wing parties in the Bulgarian Parliament has announced that they will submit a proposal allowing the Ministry of the Interior agents and the armed forces the right to shoot at people who are crossing the border illegally. According to them, the "sacred" Bulgarian border should be protected "by use of force, including the use of physical force, water cannons, gas, grenades, bombs and, if necessary, the use of firearms." Among their other proposals to Parliament, they want all refugee camps to become gated and moved outside urban areas.
