In addition to updating the existing 115 surveillance cameras in Józsefváros, Budapest's 8th district, 65 new ones were made available on October 7. With this investment of 300 million forints (approximately 1 million EUR), the entire district is now fully covered, and the cameras will be able to be connected to a facial recognition system as well. The HCLU film crew investigated the challenges presented by this new equipment, questioning its effectiveness and potential harm to society.
