After almost three years, employers and trade unions have reached a breakthrough in a conflict that revolves around the international right to strike. Parties have now recognized each other's right to collective actions in labor disputes. The consultation on this topic has been resumed in Geneva in the International Labor Organization (ILO), a UN treaty body composed of employers, trade unions and the governments of 185 member states. The ILO promotes good and safe working conditions as well as social dialogue.
