The mayor of Fiumicino, Esterino Montino, PD, husband of Monica Cirinnà after whom the civil union bill is referred to as Cirinnà Bill, announced that the bookings for registring civil unions will start. The announcement was made in a tweet. The Civil Unions Bill was implemented as a law in May, but the executive decree concerning the process of registration of civil unions is still underway. The enactment of the bridge decree was scheduled for the 6th of July. If the decision does not arrive, the mayors of different municipilaties may start the procedures to secure bookings of civil unions.
