In two rulings, the preliminary relief judge of the Dutch Central Council of Appeal has ordered a mandatory measure for asylum seekers in Amsterdam who have exhausted all legal remedies and have to leave the Netherlands. The measure, according to which the municipality of Amsterdam has to provide night shelter, showers, breakfast and supper with effect from December 17, 2014, is temporary and continues until two months after the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has taken a position on the decisions by the the European Committee of Social Rights.
