"During its 20 years of existence, the Children Crisis Center helpline has been contacted over 50,000 times by children and adults who met with direct or indirect forms of child abuse. The number of contacts is increasing every year," says the director of the Children's Crisis Center, Zora Dušková. The number of teachers, neighbors, parents or grandparents of vulnerable children calling in is growing thanks to better education of the public. The number of cases handled by online chat is also on the rise, and this option is now used by 77 percent of sexually abused girls.
