Dutch Minister for Education Jet Bussemaker has allocated 87 million euros over the next three years to address inequality in education. The money is intended to give children from parents with a lower level of education the same chances as those from a higher social class. Earlier this year, the education inspectorate reported that children with the same talents do not always get the same opportunities in education. The family in which you were born is increasingly significant for your performance in school. Bussemaker and state secretary Dekker have presented their policy plans.
