Association Arcigay has published its report on IDAHOT 2016, which contains 104 incidents regarding homo/transphobia in Italy from May 17, 2015 to May 17, 2016. The report is based on journalists' sources and it details the events that appeared in the media. LGBTI people are facing violence, humiliation and intolerance on a daily basis, which is why immediate change is necessary in Italy. The report draws attention to the fact that it is the duty of the state to intercept and deal with the wave of hostility that LGBTI people in Italy are undergoing and incite the recognition of LGBTI rights.
