The EU's proposed copyright law has come under fire from the CEO of YouTube. Susan Wojcicki addressed the issue in her latest letter to creators, adding another voice to the growing chorus of opposition to Article 13, a part of the law that would require companies like Google and Facebook to scan all uploaded content and remove any copyrighted material. "This growing creative economy is at risk," Wojcicki wrote, saying that the law could drastically change the internet. Liberties ran a campaign against the law and we continue to keep pressure on MEPs ahead of the final vote next year.
