The campaign to condemn rape called "Vergewaltigung verurteilen! Nein heißt nein!" (Condemn rape! No means no!) concluded by handing out over 62,000 postcards to the Federal Ministry of Justice. A coalition of women's rights organizations points out gaps in the German criminal code and calls for all sexual acts that are performed against the will of a person to be made an offence. They say the current legislation is not sufficient to guarantee unconditional protection of sexual self-determination. The protection of the numerous victims is required by international conventions as well.
