'Walking into the Unknown': Hungarian Volunteers Provide Help Abroad

Although Hungary has closed its borders, Hungarian volunteers continue to provide help to refugees in Serbia and Croatia.

by LibertiesEU

In the summer of 2015, tens of thousands of people arrived in Hungary and continued their journey towards Western Europe. On September 15, the Hungarian government closed the Serbian-Hungarian border, which was followed by the closure of the Croatian-Hungarian border at midnight on October 16. Despite this, dozens of Hungarian volunteers continue to provide help to people in need beyond Hungary's borders. Fatima Sefta and Zsófia Narancsik, volunteers with the Szeged Migszol group, provide help in Serbia.
