Italy's recent referendum had a voter turnout of 70 percent, but Italians without full citizenship were not among them. The Campaign 'L'Italia sono anch'io' recently launched the movement "#italianisenzacittadinanza" to highlight exclusion from elections and the need to reform Italian citizenship law. The reform was almost approved in 2015, but was pushed down the schedule of the Constitutional Affairs Committee of the Senate until recently. We commend the work of 'LìItalia sono anch'io' and hope the new agenda of the Committee will finally bring the needed change.
