The G7 summit will be held in Elmau, Bavaria on June 7 and 8. After a protest camp by the alliance "Stop G7" was initially rejected, activists successfully filed a complaint and are now allowed to erect the camp. The federal police have been conducting border controls since May 26, allegedly to "stop troublemakers," and have vowed to rigorously take action against violent demonstrators. Enquiries by the Green Party reveal that the Federal Police (BKA) has checked the records of 10,000 service providers, organizers and journalists and has handed this data over to the intelligence service.
