To serve readers of The New York Times from countries with internet censorship in place, it's now made available via Tor Onion Service. "Some readers choose to use Tor to access our journalism because they’re technically blocked from accessing our website; or because they worry about local network monitoring; or because they care about online privacy," the paper said in a statement. Onion services exist for other organisations  like Facebook and ProPublica, which have created custom tools to support their implementation. Here is the link to the NYT site via Tor Onion browsers.
