The anti-Islam movement Pegida is only allowed to demonstrate at a fixed location in Rotterdam. The local authorities do not want a march through the city streets, because it may have too many consequences for public order. Last week, Pegida-Netherlands announced its wish to organize a march for Sunday, November 29, starting and finishing at the statue of Pim Fortuyn, the politician who was murdered in 2002. The demonstration itself will be allowed because there is no permit needed for such by the anti-Islam movement. It is unknown where the demonstration will take place.
