The Italian government has recently approved the much-awaited "decriminalization package." Sadly, the measure failed to live up to expectations, as it avoided altogether the issue of clandestine immigration and it kind of missed the point on drugs. In fact, the decriminalization of cultivation of therapeutic cannabis concerns exclusively cases of cultivation and production for pharmaceutical purposes; this means it won't have any effect on those who need it the most - that is, sick persons who cultivate marijuana in their homes in order to treat themselves.
