The festival is split into three programs: it opened with the second in a series of regional conferences called EUROPOLY, a multidisciplinary project organized by the NGOs Bijeli val (Croatia), Krokodil (Serbia), Crvena (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and BLOCKFREI (Austria), which ran from May 2-6.
This was followed by the Subversive Film Festival, held May 7-14, which featured more than
50 titles and a competition for the "Wild Dreamer" Award.
The festival will conclude with 30 lectures, round tables and panel discussions held in different fora: the Subversive Forum, Mediterranean and AlterEconomic Forum and the School of Contemporary Humanities.
The Mediterranean Forum will discuss the rights of refugees. There will be panels about illegal and violent police expulsion of refugees from the borders of Central and Southeast Europe, the key challenges of the Mediterranean as a political and migratory space, as well as the consequences of externalization and security policies at the borders and within Fortress Europe.
